What is the difference between a windows phone and a android phone?

In your opinion what phone is better...T-mobile HTC HD2 or Sprint HTC EVO?|||Completely different operating systems.. Most people would prefer Android due to its customizability, much more extensive app options, and open-source nature..|||Personally, I like the Windows phone -- free development tools and no fee to create software for them.
